EPF is looking for a Consultant or a Team of Consultants who will conduct a Baseline Study covering Tavush region of Armenia and Kvemo Kartli region of Georgia and aiming to explore the existing cross-border trade and investment regulations in both countries, mutual investment opportunities, as well as identify local businesses that can benefit most from the cross-border cooperation.

In mid-September, Candid Foundation from Germany, together with EPF Armenia and the Humanitarian Research Public Union NGO from Azerbaijan, conducted a meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani participants in Tbilisi, Georgia, marking the central event of the 'Dreaming of a Colorful Garden' project.

The project idea stems from the fact that agriculture is one of the fast-growing sectors of the Turkey’s economy that provides employment for 66 percent of the population, and is increasingly based on the latest technological know-how. There is a clear need for the Armenian agriculture entities and farmers to learn advanced practices from Turkey, like the elements of quality enhancement of products, as well as new technology and innovation opportunities. The project is using this opportunity to promote mutually beneficial economic partnerships and market linkages between Armenia- and Turkey-based businesses and non-governmental organizations in the dried fruits, dairy processing and green house sectors.

The Center for Agribusiness and Rural Development (CARD), together with Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) and the Turkey based Fethiye Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI), is implementing the project “Expanding Economic Ties with Turkey” (EETT). The two-year project started in September 2014 and is funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

EPF’s Conflict Transformation School took place in Yerevan on October 29 – November 1, 2015. Twenty-four young participants were selected from seventy-six applicants from Armenia and Nagorny Karabakh on the basis of their motivation letter to explore conflicts and apply critical thinking in understanding conflicts and peace. The methodology of conflict transformation applied by EPF focused primarily on the ideas on how to constructively deal with conflicts and support peacebuilding agenda in the Nagorny Karabakh conflict. During the 4 days intensive lectures and discussions, renowned experts from Armenia provided the participants an opportunity to explore different theories and practical aspects of conflict transformation, including identity, critical thinking, multi-track diplomacy, international organisations and other topics related to national, regional and international dimensions.
