Call for Open Door Grants. Support to Civil Society
In cooperation with Swedish International Development Agency, Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) announces an Open door grants competition for the civil society within the frameworks of “Civil Society Support for Ensuring Impact on Reforms” (CS Support) project.
The post-revolutionary situation, Covid-19 pandemic and the 44-day war have had a significant impact on Armenian civil society, raising new issues, needs and priorities, as well as discovering new areas and tools to work with. In order to reorganize, implement and generate projects effectively in the new reality, Armenian civil society needs to develop its capacities and enrich its financial resources.
The Open door grants competition entails a wide range of thematic areas, activities and tools. EPF welcomes projects addressing the issues of human rights, gender equality, anti-discrimination and violence, environmental issues, urban planning and development, anti-corruption, conflict of interest and other projects that promote public awareness and target current needs and priorities.
The grant scheme stresses actions and activities that include public awareness, participation, policy development, advocacy, participatory planning, and monitoring. All in all, the most crucial aspect of the call is to develop and test new ideas. The above-mentioned thematic priorities and types of activities should be considered as examples.
EPF is ready to support other field-oriented projects, only if they contribute to the effective implementation of civil society activities in the post-revolutionary, post-pandemic and post-war situation.
Regardless of the field and the thematic direction of the proposal, the methodology of the project should take into account the following core approaches: respect for human rights, gender equality and sensitivity to the environment.
