2024

In 2024, we continued our work in a context shaped by ongoing challenges, including displacement, pressure on communities, and the need for institutional reform. While many difficulties remained, this year marked a shift from immediate response toward building stronger systems and long-term solutions. Our work focused on reinforcing the foundations of resilience—ensuring that communities, institutions, and civil society actors are better equipped to respond to present and future challenges.

Advancing Human Rights in Practice

Our human rights work focused on practical outcomes—ensuring that support systems function effectively when people need them most.
We contributed to improving responses to domestic violence cases by supporting the development of evidence-based recommendations and strengthening coordination among institutions. These efforts aimed to make protection more accessible, timely, and effective.

Building Capacity for Sustainable Impact

Strengthening civil society remained a key priority.
Through trainings and development activities, we supported around 200 civil society representatives in enhancing their skills in areas such as communication, emergency preparedness, and grants management. These efforts helped organizations remain resilient, adaptive, and capable of engaging in reform processes.

Sustaining Cross-Border Cooperation

We continued our long-term commitment to cross-border dialogue and cooperation.
With the support of the European Union, we implemented projects that brought together professionals from different fields, fostering collaboration and exchange. At the same time, initiatives addressing conflict-related challenges supported vulnerable groups and contributed to peacebuilding efforts.

Empowering Communities

Our community development work focused on strengthening local systems and encouraging active participation.
In Goris and other communities, we supported youth engagement, social innovation, and municipal capacity-building. Initiatives such as the Mardamej Social Innovation Camp brought young people together to develop ideas addressing local challenges, while capacity-building programs enhanced the effectiveness of local governance.

Strengthening Social Protection

In 2024, we addressed poverty not only as an economic issue but as a multidimensional challenge.
Through community engagement and policy dialogue, we worked to improve access to services and strengthen the capacity of civil society actors to advocate for inclusive and responsive social protection systems.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on 2024, we see a year defined by consolidation and forward-looking action. Our efforts contributed to stronger institutions, more capable communities, and more connected civil society networks.
We remain committed to long-term impact—continuing to support human rights, foster dialogue, and promote community-led development as essential elements of a stable and peaceful future.
