Armenia-Türkiye Media Bus Tour for Journalists and Media Professionals

Eurasia Partnership Foundation (EPF) invites journalists, editors, bloggers, and media professionals from Armenia and Türkiye to participate in an Armenia-Türkiye Media Bus Tour, a professional exchange initiative that will bring together media representatives from Armenia and Türkiye for a study visit across the two countries.

The Media Bus Tour is organized within the framework of the programme “Support to Armenia-Türkiye Normalization: Enhancing Cross-border Linkages,” implemented by a Consortium comprising Eurasia Partnership Foundation and Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia (UMBA) from Armenia, and Hrant Dink Foundation (HDF) and Economic Policy Research Foundation of Türkiye (TEPAV) from Türkiye, with the support of the European Union.

In recent years, discussions on Armenia-Türkiye relations have increasingly highlighted the importance of economic cooperation, regional connectivity, tourism development, and people-to-people contacts. As opportunities for engagement between the two countries continue to evolve, access to reliable information and first-hand reporting remains essential. Media professionals play a critical role in fostering informed public dialogue by providing audiences with balanced, fact-based, and nuanced coverage of developments affecting both societies.

The media Bus Tour will bring together 16 journalists and content creators: 8 from Armenia and 8 from Türkiye, for a study visit covering key locations in both countries. The Media Bus Tour will take place from 12 to 26 October 2026, with a detailed itinerary to be shared with selected participants prior to the visit. Participants will visit important economic hotspots, local businesses, tourism destinations, educational and civil society institutions, and meet with business leaders, tourism professionals, researchers, and community actors.

Through direct exposure to diverse perspectives and local experiences, participants will gain a deeper understanding of opportunities and challenges related to economic development, tourism, regional cooperation, and cross-border engagement. The initiative will also provide opportunities for professional networking and the development of lasting contacts among media professionals from Armenia and Türkiye.

Participants of the Media Bus Tour are expected to produce and publish original media pieces based on the themes, interviews, and insights gained during the visit. Content may take the form of articles, interviews, reports, multimedia stories, podcasts, video features, or other journalistic outputs. The Media Bus Tour aims to support high-quality reporting that contributes to informed public discussion on issues related to Armenia-Türkiye relations, economic cooperation, tourism, and broader regional developments.
