In Armenia, Conflict of Interest (CoI) is one of the major issues that leads to enhanced corruption. The lack of a regulatory basis and low level of understanding of CoI and ways to manage CoI situations have become preconditions for nepotism, clientelism, abuse of official position, etc. The cases where CoI is not regulated, announced and made transparent harm social justice and healthy competition, and result in the highly ineffective utilization of state resources.
